Alongside the full range of services associated with opencast contract mining, we also provide crushing and screening, mine infrastructure works, bulk earthworks, rehabilitation services, and plant hire. Trollope Botswana International has the following employment opportunities available as indicated below within the Mmamabula area for a Short-Term Contract.

To repair work on heavy mining equipment such as dump truck trays, excavator buckets, dozer trackframes and miscellaneous other machinery in accordance with the established Company SOPs and ISO values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts boiler-making inspections and audits as planned and guided.
  • Maintains boiler making Job Cards and other relevant documentation as reference point for equipment maintenances and repairs.
  • Conducts boiler-making inspections and audits as planned and guided.
  • Accurately maintains inventory levels for repairs and maintenances through accurate record keeping and raises requisitions for boiler-making materials.
  • Maintains boiler making Job Cards and other relevant documentation as reference point for equipment maintenances and repairs.
  • Ensure an understanding of the objectives of Performance Management System (PMS) and why it must be in place.
  • Demonstration of risk management knowledge and applicable Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure that developed Emergency Plans are safely followed.
  • Understanding of SHE Management Systems (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).

Requirements

  • National Craft Certificate (NCC) or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ work experience.
  • A valid Class B driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of opencast and earthmoving machines
  • Safety oriented and output driven
  • Must have sober habits
  • Medically fit
