**Key Focus Areas / Role Purpose:**
* Growth built on a solid understanding of our customer-base and market potential for our product offering, as well as strong territory, fleet and sales management to grow market share and increase consolidated profitability in Botswana.
* Developing a highly structured CE (Capital Equipment) / DSD (Digital Solutions) / ES (Electrification Solutions), including:
* Development of the “Use of Products” business, build a customer focused department, considered by our customers to be the best in the industry, aimed at implementing best in class technical support and profitable contracts.
* Developing a solid profitable revenue stream from service, parts and consumable sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth built on a solid understanding of our customer-base and market potential for our product offering, as well as strong territory, fleet and sales management to grow market share and increase consolidated profitability in Botswana.
  • Developing a highly structured CE (Capital Equipment) / DSD (Digital Solutions) / ES (Electrification Solutions), including:
  • Development of the “Use of Products” business, build a customer focused department, considered by our customers to be the best in the industry, aimed at implementing best in class technical support and profitable contracts.
  • Developing a solid profitable revenue stream from service, parts and consumable sales.
  • Profitability based on good price management and functional cost efficiencies and operational excellence including;
  • Ensuring that we have an active local pricing strategy that guarantees competitiveness of our offer and increases our profitability.
  • Cross border pricing are aligned with South Africa.
  • Global Strategic Customer pricing strategy is implemented.
  • Fostering a high performing department, being the employer of choice with innovative and efficient people processes, where people flourish in our culture and there is a strong talent pipeline, including;
  • Being a role model and visible ambassador for our business values and code of conduct.
  • Implementing clear strategies, targets and action plans in line with country goals, with tangible and measurable results with structured follow up on progress. Implement KPIs to clearly see trends and support a proactive way of working.
  • Ensure lean and agile CE/DSD/EES development, fully aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Train and develop your team to achieve superior CE, DSD and EES sales offering.
  • Ensure that you mentor and coach the team in your responsibility to drive profitability and employee engagement in their units.
  • Achieve minimum 95% appraisal rating/annum in your department.
  • Collaborating with the other departments to improve overall customer satisfaction, including;
  • Building long term customer relations, partnerships, with key clients.
  • Broaden our presence in the territory with services and sales to provide customers with a prompt and high quality support and be updated with the business opportunities.
  • Forecasting in collaboration with the customer care department to build efficient and effective stocking and supply of inventory for sales within targets set annually.
  • Ensuring administrative and legal responsibilities are of high quality and reported as per requirements including;
  • Policies and procedures for CE/DSD/EES Botswana are up to date, communicated and stored in Share Point.
  • Prokura’s are up to date and signed by department employees.
  • Annual plans are completed and approved by Country Manager and stored in Share Point.
  • Machine-on-Line is updated regularly with accurate information.
  • Management of services including the proper use of job cards, service order memo’s and timeous invoicing.
  • Warranty claims handled as per standards and closed off timeously.
  • Monthly reports submitted on time and populated with relevant information including;
  • Market situation – fleet information, service contracts, competitor activities, customer news, project updates, and any other news deemed to be important and relevant.
  • Sales activities for the CE/DSD/EES – focus areas and activities to achieve targets.
  • Financial status for CE/DSD/EES – comments on revenues and costs versus targets, adjustments, functional costs, consolidated performance, market contribution, market efficiencies and plans to correct variances.
  • Present results and activities in the monthly management meeting along with action plan.
  • Have high focus on working capital management with the vision to:
  • Keep receivables below 45 days old.
  • Inventory below 16% of Cost of Goods Sold.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical Major
  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
  • OR
  • Bachelor of Mining – with OEM Experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good IT Knowledge
  • At least 5 years’ experience in OEM Mining Primary Equipment
  • Have experience in using Customer Relationship Management tools, e.g. Salesforce
  • Technical Background
  • Good interpersonal / customer relations
  • Good telephone manners and skills.
  • Must be able to work independently without supervision.
