Botswana (Pty) Ltd owns the Karowe Diamond Mine in Lethakane, which operates an Open Pit Mine and is now transitioning into the Underground operation. The envisaged underground operation is currently undergoing construction in which two vertical shafts (Production and Ventilation) are being sunk and will be followed by lateral development and subsequent ore extraction. To be part of the ongoing underground mine development, Lucara Botswana invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions, tenable in Letlhakane.

Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator, the Buyer is responsible for executing purchase requests for stock, non-stock, works, and services to support mine operations. The role ensures timely procurement, effective supplier management, and compliance with procurement standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Procurement/Purchasing role within a mining environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) will be an added advantage.
  • Valid Driver’s License – Class B.
