Botswana Digital & Innovation Hub (BDIH) invites experienced professionals to join its mentorship pool, supporting innovation and technology entrepreneurs. Mentors will guide affiliated startups and provide hand-holding services for business-related functions to cultivate the right entrepreneurial skills for BDIH beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Advisory: Strategic planning, business modelling, and scaling.
- Product Development: Innovation management, prototyping, quality assurance, testing, and user experience.
- Financials: Budgeting, financial planning, and fundraising strategies.
- Investor Relations: Investment readiness, Pitching, securing investment, and building investor networks.
- Market Analysis & Traction: Market research, development & Validation, GO-To-Market, market expansion, scaling models, customer acquisition, and growth strategies & partnerships.
- Sales pipeline & enterprise deals
- Legal, governance & compliance
- Technology & operations scaling
Requirements
- Operate within the BDIH focal sectors (Information and Communication Technology, Mining Technology, Clean-Tech, Biotechnology, Indigenous Knowledge Systems).
- Have at least 8 years of practice experience with traceable references.
- Have a passion for working with technology startups.
- Be willing to travel within Botswana.
