Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all daily operations of the eco camp to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
• Lead a team of housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of service delivery, cleanliness, and guest safety.
• Handle guest relations with professionalism, ensuring all needs are met with personalized attention.
• Manage camp inventory, supplies, and procurement processes, ensuring sustainability principles are applied.
• Collaborate with guides and coordinate activities to ensure smooth execution of safaris and other guest experiences.
• Monitor and control camp budgets, expenses, and reporting to head office.
• Ensure full compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including waste management, water usage, and fire safety protocols.
• Coordinate logistics including staff shifts, guest transfers, and emergency procedures.
• Liaise with local communities and conservation partners to promote responsible tourism.
• Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Environmental Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in lodge or camp management, preferably in remote or wilderness settings.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Financial acumen and proficiency in budgeting and reporting.
• Passion for sustainable tourism, conservation, and cultural sensitivity.
• Valid First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one).
• Ability to thrive in a remote environment and adapt to bush living.
