CARPENTER (CAMP BASED) – Lodges of Botswana

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and maintain wooden structures, furniture, and fittings
• Work on lodge infrastructure, including decks, cabins, and bush structures
• Ensure all woodwork aligns with eco-friendly and sustainable building practices
• Assist in refurbishments, renovations, and general lodge maintenance
• Inspect and repair wooden elements to maintain high safety standards
• Work with hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure timely project completion

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in a lodge, hotel, or construction setting
• Skilled in working with different types of wood and materials
• Ability to read and interpret sketches and technical drawings
• Knowledge of eco-friendly construction techniques and materials is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a remote environment
