Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Receive payments (cash, card, mobile) and issue receipts.
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensure pricing and promotions are applied correctly.
- Provide excellent customer service and handle inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
- Report discrepancies, suspicious activities or incidents to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
- Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage.
- Minimum of BGCSE / O’ Levels with 5 credits including English
- A Certificate in Retail Operations, Business Studies or related field will be an added advantage
- Good numeracy and basic accounting skills
- Basic computer literacy (POS systems, MS Word, Excel)
- Must be a Botswana citizen
- Clean criminal record (Police Clearance Certificate required)
