Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum five year’s work history as a chef.
• An assessor or moderator’s certificate will be an advantage.
• A Culinary Diploma as a minimum qualification.
• Good computer skills as required to implement curriculum (e.g., use of email, presentation of prepared PowerPoints, use of excel to maintain mark records, and orders).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. English required.
• Experience in financial planning and control/Budget management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication – proficient in both spoken and written: Setswana and English.
• Good project management, administration, student/ staff training ability.
• Ability to work independently, with good time management and planning to deliver and ability to work under pressure.
• High levels of motivation and commitment to excellence in all aspects of work.
• Willingness to work within a team and complement and support peers.
• Flexible, open-minded and curious and participatory in approach to discussions.
• Strong personal and professional alignment to Singita’s values of authenticity, intuition, humility, leadership, unity, innovation.
• Excellent in managing cost-effective food substitutions.
• Citizenship or valid working visa.
