Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Finance Officer to lead the finance function and support the organisation’s financial stewardship and long-term sustainability. The organisation is committed to maintaining strong governance, sound financial management and compliance with international financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board and its Committees.
- Responsible for developing and managing the Fund’s financial strategy.
- Overseeing budgeting and planning processes.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Establishing robust financial policies and internal controls.
- Coordinating the annual audit process.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification
- Full membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent
- Minimum of 18 years’ experience in finance, including at least 10 years at senior management level within a medium to large organisation
- Strong experience in financial strategy, planning, reporting and performance management, demonstrating strategic management capability
- Proven experience in audit coordination, the complete production of audited annual financial reports, compliance and financial management, supported by strong project management skills.
- Solid knowledge of contract management and financial controls, with strong financial and analytical skills
- Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability in complex financial environments
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to executive and board-level audiences
- Experience in leading teams and driving organisational change, with proven leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Successful candidates must demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, ethical conduct, accountability and governance in managing financial assets.
