Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Finance Officer to lead the finance function and support the organisation’s financial stewardship and long-term sustainability. The organisation is committed to maintaining strong governance, sound financial management and compliance with international financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board and its Committees.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the Fund’s financial strategy.
  • Overseeing budgeting and planning processes.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Establishing robust financial policies and internal controls.
  • Coordinating the annual audit process.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification
  • Full membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 18 years’ experience in finance, including at least 10 years at senior management level within a medium to large organisation
  • Strong experience in financial strategy, planning, reporting and performance management, demonstrating strategic management capability
  • Proven experience in audit coordination, the complete production of audited annual financial reports, compliance and financial management, supported by strong project management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of contract management and financial controls, with strong financial and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability in complex financial environments
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to executive and board-level audiences
  • Experience in leading teams and driving organisational change, with proven leadership and stakeholder management capability
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, ethical conduct, accountability and governance in managing financial assets.
