Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development and Strategy
  • Preparing and submitting accurate and timely management reports on business performance.
  • Providing strategic oversight of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Managing the Finance and Information Technology departments.
  • Developing, implementing, and strengthening internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Driving operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with financial, regulatory, and quality management standards.
  • Supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives through effective financial and operational leadership.

Requirements

  • Honour’s Degree in Financial Management or a related field.
  • Membership of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA).
  • A minimum of 12 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Fellow Certified Professional Accountant (FCPA) designation will be an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in: Preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs); Product costing and cost analysis; Stock reconciliation and inventory management; Conducting audits across multiple business units; Analysing stock shortages, shrinkage, and wastage; Manufacturing accounting systems (MeatMatrix).
  • Proven senior management experience in developing, implementing, and measuring business processes.
  • HACCP Level 2 or higher certification in Food Safety and Hygiene for Manufacturing.
  • Practical experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and HACCP management systems.
