CHIEF PROJECTS OFFICER – Kuzinya Projects

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Projects Officer to lead the executive management of our Projects Management Consultancy in Botswana. The Chief Projects Officer will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, driving business growth through new business acquisition, and ensuring the consultancy’s projects align with its internal strategic objectives and those of its clients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in multiple jurisdictions across Southern Africa, understand national economic diversification agendas, be conversant in commercial law and have a strong background in contract management.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive Management of Projects: Lead and manage the delivery of projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes, timely delivery, and client satisfaction.
• Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to drive growth for the consultancy.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure projects align with the consultancy’s strategic goals and objectives which invariably align with national economic diversification agendas in Southern Africa.
• Client Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Formal qualification in Project Management.
• Law degree from a reputable institution.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years dealing with commercial projects and legal practice across Southern Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role leading teams of various sizes and diverse composition.

Skills and Knowledge

• Conversant in commercial law.
• Knowledge of contract management and the life cycle of projects.
• Leadership and team management
• Negotiation and conflict resolution
• Understanding of data protection (added advantage).
