Key Responsibilities
- Medical review of insurance proposals.
- Collecting background information and assessments of risk.
- Analysing statistical medical data as per standard processes.
- Liaising with Doctors, Laboratories, Brokers and Customers to facilitate medical underwriting.
- Review of Policy Wording in collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Drive the implementation of tactical strategy to realise business results, in adherence to an operational framework of policies and procedures.
- Manage claims and underwriting services by implementing business plans and executing initiatives and projects to support the related strategy.
- To actively promote and participate in living the Liberty brand values, vision and interpretation thereof.
- To implement and participate in the design and development of products and alternative channel initiatives
- To support operational activities in order to meet production and business goals.
- To establish and maintain positive and productive relationships through ongoing dialogue.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field
- Certificate of Proficiency (Long Term Insurance)
- 4 years’ experience working as an Underwriter in an Insurance field.
- Insurance Underwriting Knowledge
- Industry knowledge specific to area of accountability
- Working knowledge of principles of project management
- Understanding of processes and controls
