Key Responsibilities
- Business Development Committee: Airline commercial strategy, route development, revenue management, customer experience, tourism, cargo, partnerships, network planning, commercial turnaround, market repositioning and business model redesign.
- Human Resources Committee: Strategic HR, executive recruitment, organisational design, industrial relations, performance management, succession planning remuneration governance, organisational restructuring, culture transformation and change management.
- Quality, Safety and Security Committee: Aviation safety, aviation security, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, IOSA/ICAO standards, operational risk, safety culture, audit assurance, compliance remediation and safety maturity improvement.
- Finance, Risk and Audit Committee: Financial reporting, external or internal audit, liquidity management, enterprise risk, procurement oversight, public finance governance, compliance, controls, audit remediation, cost containment and financial turnaround.
- The appointment is for Committee-level service only.
- Co-opted Members may participate and vote only at Committee level, subject to the applicable Committee Terms of Reference and Board-approved governance framework.
Requirements
- A relevant degree or professional qualification.
- At least ten years’ senior-level experience in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrable governance, oversight or advisory experience.
- Demonstrable experience in supporting, leading or advising on turnaround strategy, recovery planning, restructuring, transformation or institutional performance improvement will be an added advantage.
- Sound ethical standing and independence of judgement.
- No material conflict of interest with Air Botswana Corporation.
- Willingness to undergo fit-and-proper assessment, reference checks, qualifications verification and conflict-of-interest screening.
- Applicants should possess strong technical competence in one or more of the following areas and should preferably have experience in turnaround strategy, institutional recovery, restructuring, transformation or performance improvement within a regulated, commercial, public enterprise, aviation, transport, infrastructure or similarly complex operating environment.
