CONSERVATION SCIENTIST AND
RESEARCH COORDINATOR – TOURISM
A well-established tourism company is looking for a high calibre and well qualified person to co-ordinate and advise the company in relation to sustainability, conservation and corporate social responsibility initiatives from a scientific perceptive.

It is essential that the candidate has minimum of eight cumulative years of relevant scientific research work experience both in Botswana and internationally. Tertiary education at a Ph.D level or higher from a reputable, internationally recognised tertiary institution in conservation is non-negotiable. As well as several publication’s of relevant work in high impact internationally recognised scientific journals.

The successful candidate would be a high energy, selfstarter with a drive for science-based conservation, as well as a strong communicator (proficient in English) and team player. Candidates must have demonstratable experience in project management and/or technical advisory roles. Computer proficiency in Arc GIS, Statistical analysis programming (R Studio or Python) and a level of financial numeracy is also necessary. Finally strong preference will be made to candidates with strong scientific communication skills with experience of communicating scientific projects and research on various muti-media platforms.
