Organization Name: Global Gateway / Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa (RTIA) / Botswana Open University. The RTIA Project seeks the services of a Qualitative Data Analyst, an individual, /Consultant/, or company with advanced expertise in Atlas.ti, to lead the systematic analysis of qualitative data generated from the Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) research undertaken at The Botswana Open University. The consultant will ensure rigorous coding, data interpretation, and visualisation, resulting in high-quality outputs that inform project findings and policy recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative data analysis of interviews, focus groups, and field notes using Atlas. ti.
- Apply advanced Atlas. ti functions to produce semantic maps, word clouds, thematic maps, and relational diagrams.
- Develop coding frameworks and analytical protocols aligned with RTIA’S PLC research objectives.
- Generate detailed thematic reports that highlight patterns, relationships, and insights from PLC activities.
- Collaborate with project researchers to integrate qualitative findings into broader project deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards in qualitative research and data management.
- Coded and categorised qualitative datasets in Atlas.ti, ensuring clear documentation of coding schemes.
- Semantic maps showing conceptual linkages and relationships among codes and themes.
- Word clouds highlighting frequency and emphasis of key terms emerging from PLC data.
- Thematic maps illustrating major themes and sub-themes across PLC research findings.
- Relational diagrams visualising connections between categories, stakeholders, and PLC practices.
- Analytical memos and reports generated within Atlas. ti to capture insights and interpretations.
- A final consultancy report integrating Atlas. ti outputs.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Education, or a related field from a recognised institution.
- Proven field experience in qualitative research and analysis using Atlas. ti.
- Demonstrated ability to produce advanced outputs such as semantic maps, word clouds, thematic maps, and relational diagrams.
- At least 3 years of experience conducting qualitative analysis in education or social science projects.
- Experience in documenting and disseminating qualitative findings through reports, briefs, and publications.
- Familiarity with research protocols, ethical standards, and project management systems.
- The candidate must possess advanced proficiency in using Atlas. ti software for qualitative data analysis.
- The candidate must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively interpret complex qualitative data.
