Estate Construction (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Contracts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, reviewing, and administering contracts to ensure compliance, cost control, and timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
  • Plan project execution strategies for each new project
  • Monitor the Contractor’s performance on contractual obligations for every project
  • Manage contract variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes
  • Coordinate with project managers, finance, and procurement teams
  • Maintain accurate contract records and reports
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks
  • Ensure cost control and adherence to budgets

Requirements

  • BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management, from a recognized University. Those with a Post Graduate Qualification in Project Management, Contract Law or will have an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years of work experience in the Civil or Building Construction Environment and 4 years of which must have been spent at a management role on commercial construction projects
  • Ability to manage construction contracts of the following forms; FIDIC 1999, JBCC, NEC, GCC 2010
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial terms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages and Microsoft Project Software
  • Strong communication and analytical skills to lead and drive a team
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of building codes
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude towards work and a strong ability to work in a team environment
