Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve daily meals for learners, following the Centre’s meal plans and Dietary requirements.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with Centre’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work closely with other staff to ensure the mealtime needs of all learners are met.
- Manage kitchen inventory and report any shortages or needs.
- Adhere to safety and health regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a school, care home, or similar setting.
- Ability to read, write, and clearly understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Basic understanding of nutrition and food safety.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and support the needs of visually impaired Learners.
- Compassionate and responsible individual with a strong work ethic.
