Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee finance operations across multiple campuses while ensuring standardization of financial processes and internal controls.
- Lead and supervise finance teams to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely completion of financial activities.
- Prepare and oversee monthly management accounts, financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
- Monitor revenue processes, debtor collections, supplier payments, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and cash management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, taxation, regulatory, and institutional financial governance requirements.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, variances, and opportunities that support strategic decision-making.
- Develop financial reporting models, dashboards, and analytical tools to enhance business intelligence and management reporting.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
- Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, banks, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
- Support strategic financial planning, institutional growth initiatives, and continuous improvement of financial systems, policies, and procedures.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to finance teams across all campuses.
Requirements
- BCom Accounting and ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Membership with BICA or another recognized international professional accounting body is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ relevant experience in finance and accounting.
- Experience managing finance operations within a multi-campus or multi-branch environment will be an added advantage.
- Experience in financial reporting, audits, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial controls.
- Exposure to ERP financial systems and student management systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Sound knowledge of taxation principles, statutory compliance, and financial governance.
- Understanding of the application of tax requirements across different countries and jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to analyse raw financial data and transform it into meaningful management information.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Great Plains, Campus Nexus, Academia, or similar financial systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and time management skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
