The Direct Sales Agent is responsible for selling insurance products directly to clients within assigned territories through face-to-face engagement, community outreach, and structured prospecting, while ensuring full compliance with Botswana insurance regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face sales in assigned areas including workplaces, communities, malls, events, and door-to-door campaigns
- Prospect new clients within Francistown, Gaborone, Palapye, and Lobatse territories
- Generate leads through referrals, networking, and community engagement
- Promote and sell insurance products including life, funeral, health and disability
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Conduct client fact-finding and needs analysis
- Explain product benefits, terms, exclusions, and premiums clearly
- Recommend suitable insurance solutions based on client needs and affordability
- Complete application forms accurately and collect required supporting documentation
- Follow up on submitted applications until policy issuance
- Maintain ongoing relationships to support policy persistency
- Assist clients with policy reviews, updates, and claims processes
- Provide after-sales support and maintain high service standards
Requirements
- Minimum of a Certificate in Sales, Insurance, Business, or related field
- COP(Short term and Long term)
- Direct sales or field sales experience preferred
- Insurance experience is an added advantage
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
- Willingness to travel within assigned location
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidence in face-to-face selling

- Good time management and planning skills
