Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise daily truck dispatches.
  • Allocate drivers, trucks, trailers and loads.
  • Verify routes, loading/offloading points and documentation.
  • Monitor movements of trucks from loading to offloading.
  • Maintain communication with drivers, Control Room and Operations.
  • Follow up on delays, breakdowns, border issues and route deviations.
  • Ensure accurate dispatch records, reports and POD management.
  • Escalate operational exceptions promptly to management.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and truck utilisation

Requirements

  • Experience in logistics and transport operations
  • Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Diploma in Procurement & Supply, Degree in Transport Management or Degree in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Setswana.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office / ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple movements simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills.
  • High level of discipline, accountability and integrity.
