Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise daily truck dispatches.
- Allocate drivers, trucks, trailers and loads.
- Verify routes, loading/offloading points and documentation.
- Monitor movements of trucks from loading to offloading.
- Maintain communication with drivers, Control Room and Operations.
- Follow up on delays, breakdowns, border issues and route deviations.
- Ensure accurate dispatch records, reports and POD management.
- Escalate operational exceptions promptly to management.
- Monitor delivery schedules and truck utilisation
Requirements
- Experience in logistics and transport operations
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Diploma in Procurement & Supply, Degree in Transport Management or Degree in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
- Fluent in English and Setswana.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office / ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple movements simultaneously.
- Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills.
- High level of discipline, accountability and integrity.
