As part of our operational expansion in Botswana, we invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of: DRILLING CHEMICAL TECHNICIAN
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain drilling fluids to meet site operational requirements
- Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of drilling fluid properties
- Operate and oversee solids control systems and SRU units
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting
- Compile daily technical reports and performance summaries
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Support drilling performance optimisation initiatives
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Drilling Fluids / Solids Control / SRU Systems
- Strong background in laboratory testing of drilling fluids
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience
- Knowledge of mining drilling operations preferred
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Excellent reporting and communication skills
- Ability to work in remote and demanding environments
- Strong technical aptitude
- Analytical and detail-oriented
