City of Francistown Council. DRIVER II (Vacancy Circular No. 13 of 2026). Applications are invited from suitably qualified employees in the Botswana Government appointed on a Permanent and Pensionable basis. Post tenable in the City of Francistown Council. Main Purpose of the job: To transport hazardous waste clinical waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Transporting clinical waste.
- Maintains journey and motor vehicle maintenance.
- Maintains vehicles log book by ensuring that it is readily available in the vehicle and signed by action officer before commencement of journey.
- Performs daily basic routine checks before starting the vehicle and reports identified faults to the supervisors.
- Repairs tyre punctures and ensures replacement of worn out tyres.
- Ensures that tyres are inflated to the correct pressure for the load and condition of the roads.
- Washes and cleans the vehicles.
- Reports accident to the police and the Supervisor.
- Checks insurance and license disc for validity and reports expiration to the supervisor
- Undertakes any other related duties as directed by Management.
Requirements
- Minimum of PSLE (Primary School Leaving Examination).
- Class C1 Driving License valid for at least two (2) years.
- PRDP Hazardous (Clinical Waste).
- Must attach certificate of training.
