Key Responsibilities

  • Operates light motor vehicles up to 3500kg maximum weight including trailer (750kg) and any other permitted by license.
  • Prepares for all authorized trips and motor vehicle maintenance/Service.
  • Ensures that logbooks are maintained at the start and of work period
  • Performs daily basic routine checks before starting the vehicle to ensure that the vehicle that are assigned is road worthy and reports identified faults to the supervisor.
  • Repairs tyre punctures and ensures replacement of worn out tyres.
  • Ensures that tyres are inflated to the correct pressure for the load and condition of the roads.
  • Wash and clean the vehicle.
  • Reports accidents to the Supervisor and Police.
  • Ensures that passengers being transported are authorized
  • Ensures proper loading of authorized loads the security and safety Loads being carried and the safe unloading of their vehicles at Destination
  • Undertake any other related duties as directed by Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of primary school Leaving Examination Certificate (PSLE)
  • Candidates must be in possession of Botswana Driving License Class B.
  • Age: 18 to 45 years
  • Experience: At least a minimum of 1 year Driving License.
