Key Responsibilities

  • Operates light motor vehicle up to 3500kg maximum weight including trailer (750kg) and any other permitted by the licence.
  • Performs routine vehicle maintenance, which includes removal and fitment ashing of vehicles and ensuring that tyres are inflated to correct pressure.
  • Performs pre-trip inspection and ensures that the vehicles they are assigned is road worthy.
  • Ensures proper loading of authorised loads, the security and safety of loads being carried and safe unloading of their vehicles at destination.
  • Undertake any other related duties as required to meet the exigencies of the service.

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold Junior Certificate (JC) only and must be in possession of Botswana Driver’s License Class B.
  • AGE: 18 years to 45 years old.
  • Minimum of 2 years proven driving experience.
  • All applicants from serving public officers should be routed through their heads of Department.
  • Applicants not routed will not be considered and applicants who do not meet the requirements stipulated above will not be responded to.
