Job Title: DRIVER/MESSENGER
Role Purpose: Reporting to the Senior Administration Officer in the Human Capital Department, you will be responsible for providing efficient messenger and driving services by ensuring the safe, timely delivery and collection of documents, parcels, and staff, while maintaining the organisation’s vehicles in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect official documents, mail, parcels, and other items to and from offices, institutions, and stakeholders.
- Maintain an accurate record of expected deliveries and collections.
- Responsible for safe transportation of staff, management, and visitors of the Corporation as assigned and ensure punctuality for all scheduled trips and assignments.
- Maintain daily vehicle logbooks, including mileage, fuel consumption, and trip details.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, tyres, lights).
- Ensure vehicles are serviced according to the maintenance schedule.
- Keep the vehicles clean and presentable at all times.
Requirements
- Junior Certificate or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s licence (Class B or relevant class).
- A defensive driving certificate will be an added advantage.
- At least 2 years’ work experience in a similar role.
