ROLE PURPOSE
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair and operate equipment
- Inspect electrical installations
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults
- Read and interpret electrical specifications, circuit and diagrams
- Test electrical equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with standards
- Maintain and repair power distribution systems and cable
- Write reports
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as an electrician in a mining, heavy industrial, or similar environment
- Practical experience with mining machinery, motors, control systems, and power distribution
- Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in hazardous mining environments
- Competence in fault finding, testing, and repair of electrical equipment
- Understanding of mine safety regulations and safe work procedures
- Ability to safely operate and monitor mining machinery
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies
