Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment, lighting and power distribution within Turnstar properties.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing and preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and safety of electrical installations.
- Respond timeously to electrical faults, emergencies and maintenance requests from tenants and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with electrical work on refurbishments, fit-outs and minor projects as assigned.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant electrical standards, statutory requirements and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and test results.
Requirements
- Recognised National Craft Certificate/Trade Test or Diploma in Electrical Studies
- Valid registration with the relevant statutory/regulatory body (where applicable).
- A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in building services, facilities management or a similar environment.
- Sound knowledge of electrical fault-finding, maintenance procedures and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and use appropriate testing instruments.
- High level of safety consciousness and adherence to procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work after hours, weekends and be on standby when required.
