Key Responsibilities
- The candidate will be reporting to The General Manager and will be responsible for delivering Xigera`s sustainability commitments through integrated environmental stewardship and community development. This role sits at the intersection of ecological management and people-centred programming, ensuring that neither is deprioritised in favour of the other
- The candidate must be able to ensure site operations meet all regulatory adherence, environmental approvals, pollution controls and standards
- Develop and overseeing data collection on waste management both food waste and water (quality and usage)
- Educate staff and local communities on ethical and sustainable operations of the business
- Developing and managing community programs which are in line with the company
- Identify possible environment degradation hazards and developing mitigation responses
- Educating internal staff on environmental and social protocols
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor`s Degree in Environmental Science, Public Relations, Communications Or related field.
- Must possess 5- 10 years’ work experience in community programs
- The candidate must have strong computer skills and be familiar with opera, Pastel, Microsoft and Excel
