Native Events is looking for an exceptional and decisive Event Production Lead to take the lead in bringing our events to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end production project plan for every event, from master run-of-show to crew deployment.
  • Hold on-site operational command across all build, live event, and breakdown phases.
  • Plan and schedule the full production team: Production Foreman, Scenic Foreman, Warehouse Officer, and contractor pool.
  • Coordinate scenic and fabrication activities, directing the Scenic Foreman.
  • Manage the asset and inventory ecosystem through the Warehouse Officer, confirming availability for all upcoming events.
  • Own the production budget: track actuals against approved budgets and report variances to the Senior Account Director and Group Finance.
  • Lead all HR responsibilities for the production team in line with the Employment Act.
  • Chair internal briefings, cross-departmental handovers, and post-event debriefs.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in Event Management, Production Management, Project Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive event production experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end production for complex, multi-stakeholder events.
  • Strong financial literacy with the ability to build, manage, and defend a production budget.
  • Experience leading diverse operational teams and specialist contractor pools.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with scenic fabrication or workshop operations will be an added advantage.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
