Sefalana Cash & Carry, a leading distributor of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in Botswana, has opportunities for two (2) passionate, delicate, and self-driven individuals to take up the role of an EXECUTIVE CHEF – ASIAN CUISINE. The positions are tenable in Gaborone.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily production of meals to meet customer needs and optimize sales opportunities.
- Ensure that the branch offers adequate product range of Asian cuisine and related dishes.
- Develop and review product recipes for the product ranges on offer as and when necessary.
- Liaise with buying personnel to ensure that the required ingredients are always in stock.
- Implement shrinkage control measures/procedures to minimize wastages and stock losses.
- Monitor the quality of customer service on an ongoing basis and take corrective actions.
- Ensure that the deli section maintains the required housekeeping and hygiene standards.
- Supervise a team of subordinates to ensure optimal productivity and acceptable conduct.
Requirements
- Diploma in hotel management, culinary arts, food handling and preparation, or any related field of study. Suited professional certifications in culinary arts, kitchen management, food hygiene and safety will equally be considered.
- Four (4) years’ work experience as an Executive Chef particularly preparing Asian cuisine and continental dishes. The work experience should consist of having worked in supervisory or middle management positions.
- Ability to supervise subordinates to ensure productivity, adherence to production schedules, and good quality customer service.
- Strong coordination skills that are required to liaise with different stakeholders and execute routine operational activities timeously.
- Able to discern market trends and develop corresponding solutions to build a competitive advantage.
- Committed to high standards of hygiene and housekeeping, food safety, and efficient use of kitchen utensils and ingredients.
- A valid Class B driver’s license.
