SPEDU is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, dynamic, talented and experienced individuals to join their team in the following position:

Job Summary
This position is responsible for planning, organising, controlling and coordinating the acquisition, development, maintenance and use of computer and information systems within the organisation, and also gives the Organisation a strategic direction from an ICT perspective. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and supporting the organisation’s information, communication and technology infrastructure, systems, and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the adequacy and allocation of ICT resources, equipment, and service levels.
  • Estimate annual services operating costs for budgeting and forecasting purposes, and drive value improvement/cost reduction activities.
  • Oversee the transformation of operational performance into efficient use of all ICT services to ensure effective functioning of internal and external ICT systems through management of outsourced ICT support.
  • Identify operational risks to service and ensure mitigation actions are put in place.
  • Ensure disaster recovery policies are adequate, properly managed and formulated.
  • Direct ICT operations and set priorities between system developments, maintenance and operations.
  • Research, benchmark and implement the best ICT delivery methods to enhance and improve existing ICT services.

Requirements

  • Education/Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience in ICT support or systems administration.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, Cybersecurity, or related certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
  • Added Advantage: Experience with ERP systems, databases, and virtualization technologies will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Good project coordination and documentation skills.
