Role Purpose (Overview)
We are seeking a visionary Executive Strategy Director with 20+ years of progressive experience in business strategy, leadership, and transformation. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking strategist who combines deep analytical capability, creative problem-solving, and executive presence to drive sustainable growth and organisational impact.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining the strategic direction of the company, aligning long-term objectives with executional excellence, and fostering innovation across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, articulate, and implement the organisation’s long-term strategy in alignment with corporate goals and market opportunities.
- Guide and inspire senior executives and cross-functional leaders toward a unified strategic vision.
- Translate insights and market intelligence into actionable business strategies.
- Identify new growth opportunities, partnerships, and market innovations.
- Evaluate emerging trends, competitors, and technologies to maintain the company’s competitive advantage.
- Lead strategic planning sessions, portfolio reviews, and scenario planning exercises.
- Champion business transformation initiatives to drive efficiency, innovation, and agility.
- Work with finance, operations, marketing, and product teams to ensure strategy-to-execution alignment.
- Lead strategic reviews and performance dashboards to monitor progress and outcomes.
- Provide executive-level thought leadership to the Strategy function and wider business.
- Mentor and coach senior managers and strategy teams to build strategic capability.
- Foster a culture of purpose, innovation, and accountability at all levels of the organisation.
Requirements
- Minimum 20 years of experience in strategy, business development, or corporate transformation.
- Proven track record of developing and executing large-scale strategic initiatives in complex organisations.
- Strong background in both corporate and operational strategy, ideally across multiple industries.
- Executive presence with exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Robust analytical, financial, and conceptual thinking capabilities.
- Experience in leading strategy functions within top-tier consulting firms or large global enterprises.
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Strategy, or related field.
- Familiarity with digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation strategy trends.
- Visionary thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
