Key Responsibilities
- Tracking and monitoring the status of purchase orders (POs) from placement through final delivery as well as maintaining an accurate and up-to-date database/tracker.
- Liaising closely with vendors and manufacturers to obtain realistic delivery schedules, production statuses, and shipping details
- Identifying potential delays or bottlenecks in the supply chain early and escalate them promptly as well as working with suppliers to develop corrective action plans to recover lost time.
- Collaborating with internal teams including Engineering (for drawing/approval delays), QA/QC (for inspection readiness), Logistics (for shipping clearance), and Project Management (for schedule alignment).
- Ensuring all shipping documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin) are collected and verified.
- Preparing and submitting regular expediting status reports to management.
Requirements
- Abachelor’s degree in supply chain; Engineering or similar field
- Diploma in Logistics Management
- MCIPS (Or studying towards qualification highly desirable)
- Forklift driving license required.
- Minimum of 5 (five) years’ experience in a similar role preferably in a mining/construction industry with basic procurement experience in mining industry preferred
- Experience with working in an ERP environment, especially PRONTO
