The Factory Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all factory operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing all production processes and operations within the factory.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the production department.
- Preparing and analyzing data and reports to support company production objectives.
- Coordinating and managing battery manufacturing, assembly, and formation operations.
- Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programmes.
- Ensuring effective factory operations through appropriate lean and other management methodologies.
- Performing any other duties delegated by the Operations Director and Manufacturing Director.
Requirements
- Industrial Science Technology Diploma with a bias in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in the safe handling and management of hazardous materials, including lead oxide, sulphuric acid, and lead, in a closed-loop manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of battery manufacturing processes, including final assembly.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and guide supervisors and operators to achieve set targets.
- Proven ability to operate and manage industrial wastewater treatment plants in compliance with local and international standards.
- Knowledge of IEC 60095 standards will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the battery manufacturing industry.
