Job Title: FARM MANAGER
Role Purpose:
A reputable and progressive farm is seeking for an experienced and hands on Farm Manager to join a well-established Ranch situated in Sandveld Farms.
Key Responsibilities
- Rearing, feeding, treatment and oversee livestock.
- Managing maintenance of equipment, fencing, roads and infrastructure
- Overseeing water system including dams, boreholes, pumps and pipelines
- Animal feeds farming which includes but not limited to planting, watering, weeding and harvesting
- Landscaping and maintenance of the compound
- Ability to operate crane truck, lifting and rigging
- Operating and overseeing plant machinery
- Ensuring safety, maintenance and repair of structures, farm equipment and supplies
Requirements
- Valid heavy duty drivers’ licence with 10 years
- Certificate in rigging with 10 years experience
- 2+ years of experience in the farming environment
- Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical works related to machinery.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate with a team as needed.
