Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and reporting on all financial information of the Company on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts of the Company including cashflow forecasts.
- Preparation of board packs, statutory financial statements, and coordination of external and internal audits.
- Renewal of Company insurance.
- Ensuring sound internal controls and financial procedures within the Company.
- Ensuring compliance with Income Tax Act, Companies Act and all applicable legislations
- Review and management of payroll, fixed asset register, accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Frequent review of Business Intelligence systems for management reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience;
- Experience within a publicly listed company will be an added advantage;
- Holding a professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent and shall be a member of Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants;
- Sound knowledge on various Laws in Botswana including Companies Act and Income Tax Act;
- Up to date knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Adequately computer literate and have detailed working expertise in the various software packages such as Arch, Pastel and Accpac.
