Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will provide leadership in the management of the Company’s financial accounting, reporting and internal control functions. The role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information, maintaining sound financial governance, driving compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis. The incumbent will also oversee treasury, taxation, payroll, financial controls and stakeholder engagement while promoting operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation and all statutory financial reporting requirements.
  • Strengthen financial governance through effective internal controls, accounting policies and risk management.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management and cost control initiatives.
  • Manage taxation, payroll, fixed assets, accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Drive financial systems, process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing finance team.
  • Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while promoting sound financial governanceand ethical business practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or Management Accounting.
  • Professional Accounting qualification and membership with BICA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or CFA.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years’ post-qualification experience, including at least three (3) years in a management role within a finance function.
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, corporate governance, internal controls and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, treasury, audit coordination and statutory compliance
