Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- A PhD degree in Biotechnology or in a related area with a strong focus on Enzyme Technology or Microbial Biotechnology from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of ten (10) years post-doctoral experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Industrial Biotechnology.
- A research experience in Industrial Biotechnology and evidence of building and leading a research team in this field of study.
- A record of recent and continuing publications of at least thirty (30) original scientific articles in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Evidence of attracting research grants and managing research projects.
- Evidence of accreditation as assessor and moderator from the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA).
- Evidence of experience of successful supervision of postgraduate students.
- Evidence of engagement in university, professional, and community services.
- Evidence of involvement in academic leadership and management.
