The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, at the University of Botswana invites eligible postgraduate applicants to apply for the Graduate Tuition Waiver Scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year. The scholarship is intended to support postgraduate students who demonstrate academic excellence and strong research potential in Engineering and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Teaching & Learning Assistantships within the Faculty:
  • Master’s Students: up to 8 hours/week
  • PhD Students: up to 10 hours/week
  • maintain good academic standing
  • fulfill assistantship duties
  • not receive negative performance evaluations
  • not violate academic integrity policies
  • not engage in conduct harmful to the university’s reputation

Requirements

  • Currently admitted as a full-time postgraduate student in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology
  • Demonstrated good academic standing
  • Not be in full-time employment during the scholarship period
  • Have no record of academic dishonesty
  • Normally not holding another scholarship

Salary

Master’s degree Students: up to 50% tuition waivers; PhD Students: 100% tuition waiver
