The successful candidate must demonstrate ACCA membership, 15+ years’ finance and audit experience, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, internal controls, payroll, tax compliance and financial reporting expertise.

Purpose of the Role
The Group Head of Finance will oversee the full finance function of the Regent Hill International Schools Group, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial governance, effective budgeting, cash flow discipline, audit readiness, regulatory compliance and efficient financial operations across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and variance analysis.
  • Preparing management accounts and supporting IFRS-compliant annual financial statements.
  • Coordinating external audits and ensuring full audit readiness.
  • Strengthening internal controls, finance policies and reporting procedures.
  • Managing school fee revenue controls, expenditure, supplier payments and reconciliations.
  • Overseeing payroll processing, statutory remittances, tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, fixed asset registers and internal reporting systems.
  • Advising executive management on financial risks, cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Mentoring and supervising finance/accounts staff to improve accuracy, accountability and performance.

Requirements

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification: ACCA, CA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Membership in good standing with a recognised professional accounting body.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
  • At least 10-15 years’ progressive experience in accounting, auditing or financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, financial statements, audit processes and internal controls.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, payroll, tax compliance, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to supervise, coach or mentor finance team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Caseware, Pastel, Xero, Belina Payroll, Adaski Payroll or similar systems will be an advantage.
  • Experience in education, NGOs, service-based organisations, audited institutions or multi-entity environments will be an added advantage.
