Key Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting function across the group and its subsidiaries.
- Develop, implement and maintain accounting systems, policies and procedures.
- Prepare consolidated group financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, and track actual against budget
- Oversee product costing, cost control and inventory valuation.
- Prepare detailed management reports to support decision-making.
- Maintain strong internal controls and manage financial risk.
- Oversee tax compliance, including VAT and corporate tax with BURS.
- Manage the annual external audit, including preparing financial statements, resolving auditor queries and meeting deadlines.
- Support the finance function through the group’s growth plans, including new projects and corporate transactions.
- Lead, train and supervise the accounts team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / Cost Accounting
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- BICA Associate or Fellow Member
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in audit and accounting, including 2-5 years at manager level. Big Four audit experience is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, including group consolidation.
- Sound knowledge of both financial accounting and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Syspro, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
