Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all organisational programmes and advocacy initiatives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of departmental strategies, annual operational plans, and organisational workplans aligned with LEGABIBO’s Strategic Plan.
  • Serve as a member of the Senior Management Team and contribute to organisational strategy, planning, governance, and institutional development.
  • Provide overall oversight of programme implementation, ensuring quality, impact, accountability, and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Supervise programme planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting.
  • Strengthen programme systems and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective coordination across programme portfolios, including health, advocacy, policy, legal reform, community mobilisation, research, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Lead the organisation’s national advocacy agenda to influence legislation, public policy, and institutional practice.
  • Coordinate legal reform initiatives and lobbying efforts aimed at advancing equality, non-discrimination, and the human rights of LGBTIQ+ persons.
