John Mackenzie High school is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Teacher to join our vibrant academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to achieve high standards, foster a positive, child-centered and inclusive learning environment and contribute to the overall school community. John Mackenzie School is an independent, co-educational English medium private school based in Francistown, Botswana. The school was established in 1899 and has a history spanning almost 127 years. We offer Cambridge Primary Checkpoint, IGCSE, AS and A Levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Science to Form ones and Biology to Forms 2, 3, 4, Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Level students.
- Deliver engaging lessons and develop lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Maintain safe, respectful and organized learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to drive up academic standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in professional development and build strong partnerships with parents and guardians.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Education or relevant subject area.
- Proven experience in high school teaching.
- Experience in teaching Biology at IGCSE, AS, and Advanced Level is a must.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
