The Human Resources Manager is a critical role at Minet Botswana Limited, supporting the organisation’s operational effectiveness by aligning human resource strategies with business objectives. The role partners closely with management and employees to deliver efficient HR services, promote a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with labour and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR business partnering.
  • Operational HR service delivery.
  • Employee relations and engagement.
  • Payroll coordination and oversight (Payroll and Taxation), ensuring accurate and timely processing in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Coordination of employee mentorship programmes.
  • Coordination of technical and interpersonal employee skills transfer initiatives.
  • Benefits administration.
  • Advisory support to line management.
  • The incumbent will contribute to building a productive, inclusive, and compliant workplace aligned with Minet Botswana Limited’s long-term goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ post-qualification experience in a Human Resources environment.
  • Experience within an Insurance, or financial services institution will be an added advantage.
  • Experience providing HR support to Board or Board Committees will be an added advantage.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in: Human Resources Management/ Business or Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • HR strategy and workforce planning aligned to business goals.
  • End-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and talent management.
  • Employee relations (discipline, grievances, investigations) and conflict resolution.
  • Labour law compliance, policy development, and risk/audit readiness.
  • Performance management, learning & development, and succession planning.
  • Compensation & benefits and HR operations (contracts, records, payroll liaison).
  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and people leadership.
  • High integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
