Key Responsibilities

• Manage and advise management on industrial and employee relations matters
• Ensure full compliance with Botswana labour laws, regulations and statutory requirements
• Develop and implement employee relations policies, procedures and best practices
• Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, workplace disputes, and hearings
• Liaise with trade unions, labour authorities, and external stakeholders
• Support collective bargaining, negotiations and dispute resolution processes
• Provide guidance on performance management, misconduct and employee engagement
• Analyse labour trends and provide regular reports to management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, Human Resources, Labour Law, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years in an IR/ER management role, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector
• Strong working knowledge of Botswana labour legislation and industrial relations practices
• Proven experience handling unions, dispute resolution and disciplinary processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality
