The incumbent will evaluate financial, operational and compliance processes and recommend improvements that strengthen accountability, safeguard assets and enhance organisational performance, on a 3-5 years fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans.
- Conduct financial, operational and compliance audits.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Assess compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to Management and the Board.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
- Conduct fraud risk assessments and investigations where necessary.
- Support continuous improvement of governance and risk management processes.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CPA or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- Registration with the Botswana Accountancy Oversight Authority (where applicable).
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant auditing experience.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS, internal auditing standards and governance frameworks.
