Key Responsibilities
- (i) teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering such as Power Transmission and Distribution Networks, Electrical Fundamentals, Switchgear and protection; Electrical Machines; Computer Programming, and other related areas;
- (ii) Actively participate in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research projects;
- (iii) Serve on committees within the University and in external professional organizations;
- (iv) Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Chairperson of the Department/Head of School .
Requirements
- (i) a Doctorate (PhD) in Electrical Engineering or related field ;
- (ii) a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field;
- (iii) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized University;
- (iv) Evidence of governance (e.g. service to a university) and social engagement (e.g. service to the profession and community), research products (e.g. articles, book chapters, peer reviewed conference proceedings, etc.) published by recognized publishers, and teaching experience at a University or comparable institution will be added advantages.
- N.B. Applicants with Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with significant research output and industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering of at least 2(i) or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances.
- *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- *Understanding of research methodologies, tools and principles.
- *Membership or eligibility for registration with Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is required.
