MAINTENANCE FOREMAN – MP Mining 1334 views

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds and equipment, identifying and repairing faults
• Oversee the daily repair of company houses, including plumbing, minor electrical faults, room paintings, plastering, furniture assembly and basic appliances repairs
• Supervise, train and schedule in-house maintenance staff
• Coordinate, monitor and assist external contractors where applicable
• Ensure all work complies with Company safety regulations, environmental regulations and building codes
• Manage inventory for maintenance supplies and guest house materials, controlling costs
• Maintain a maintenance log, keep and update records for all repairs and inspections
• Handle emergency maintenance needs, acting as a point of contact for issues
• Manage groundskeeping, landscaping and maintenance of external facilities at the gym room and walkways to ensure homelike environment
• Conduct routine inspections of service readings (water, gas, electricity) and ensure all guest house systems remain operational and efficient

Requirements

• National Croft Certificate (NCC) in building, construction or related field (Bricklaying, Plumbing, Carpentry etc)
• Diploma in Construction or related field
• Technical skills: strong knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, carpentry and bricklaying
• Supervisory Skills: Excellent supervisory and coordinating skills and team management abilities
• Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Licenses: a valid drivers license
• Experience: 5 years proven experience as a Maintenance Foreman; preferably in a combined industrial (Mining) and hospitality (lodge/guesthouse) environment
