We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Management Accountant who enjoys turning financial information into strategic insight. This role goes far beyond preparing reports. Working closely with the CFO, Executive Team, and business leaders, you’ll influence key business decisions, improve financial performance, support investment decisions, and help shape Brastorne’s long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, long-term financial planning, and scenario modelling.
  • Prepare executive, board, and management reporting packs, providing clear financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Analyse product, customer, country, and business unit profitability to identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Develop robust financial models, investment appraisals, and business cases to support new products, regional expansion, partnerships, capital expenditure, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate commercial opportunities, optimise pricing, improve operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and monitor key financial and operational KPIs, identifying emerging risks, trends, and opportunities across the business.
  • Support fundraising initiatives, grant applications, debt financing, and investor reporting by preparing financial models and supporting documentation.
  • Lead cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and financial performance analysis to support sustainable growth.
  • Strengthen financial reporting processes, internal controls, governance, and management information systems to improve decision quality.
  • Support the annual strategy process by providing financial analysis, market insights, and strategic planning support to Executive Management.
  • Drive continuous improvement through reporting automation, dashboard development, and enhanced financial analytics.

Requirements

  • Fully completed professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or CA)
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, business performance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to develop robust financial models and analytical tools.
  • Experience using ERP systems together with business intelligence or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) will be an advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret financial information and translate it into practical business recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • High attention to detail combined with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Management Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Commercial Finance, or a similar strategic finance role.
  • Proven experience preparing executive and board reporting and supporting senior management decision-making.
  • Experience developing budgets, forecasts, business cases, and financial models within a commercial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with operational and commercial teams to improve business performance.
  • Experience within technology, telecommunications, financial services, SaaS, subscription-based businesses, or other fast-paced commercial environments will be a significant advantage.
  • Experience supporting regional operations, business expansion, fundraising, grant-funded projects, or strategic investment initiatives will be an added advantage.
